Chitchat Forum Guide
Hello and welcome! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. Your thoughts and ideas are more than welcome – we can't wait to hear what you have to say!
Now, what sets Flatboard Forum apart from the rest is its user-friendly approach and a strong focus on your privacy. Unlike other platforms, there's no need to go through the hassle of creating a user account that stores your personal information. With Flatboard, it's all about simplicity. Logging in with your own chosen username is a breeze, no tedious registration or approval process is involved. So, let's get you started on this fantastic journey of sharing and connecting without any worries!
Creating a Unique User Login
Before you can post you first need to log in. Choose a username, followed by the @ symbol, and then your password (without spaces).
Example: bob@mypassword
Then enter the small captcha code shown as well. If you can't read letters, click the small refresh button until easier ones show up. Once the system logs you in, you can then add replies or add new posts to the forum.
To ensure you have a smooth experience, here's a helpful tip after you sign in with your own user account: Please remember to save your password and user login name. By doing so, you'll always have access to your familiar forum user ID every time you visit and post. It's all about convenience!
And that's not all! Another fantastic advantage of having a login ID is that once you're logged in, you won't have to deal with those pesky captcha codes every time you perform a search within the forums. We've got your back, making your journey with us hassle-free and enjoyable. So, go ahead, sign in, and let the engaging discussions begin!.
Adding Replies to Existing Forum Posts
Posting replies may seem a bit puzzling at first, but don't worry; it becomes incredibly simple once you get the hang of it. Even our administrators were initially unsure about this feature until we came across this enlightening video linked below:

Friendly Forum User Names
When you first log in and start posting, your username in the forums will initially appear with an encrypted password hash attached, like this: username@488d9cf3. However, no need to worry, as once you start posting here regularly it will be fixed, and your username will be shown as username only, without the @password hash.
ere's an essential tip: when logging in, please remember that both your log-in names and passwords are case-sensitive. So, whether you sign in as "Ben@" or "ben@", consistency is key! Using different variations might cause your custom name and profile picture to be different as the system views you as another forum member.
As our community grows, we're excited to have many users with us. However, since multiple users can have the same names, we encourage you to make your user name as unique as possible. This way, you'll stand out and avoid any confusion.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. We're here to help and make sure your forum experience is enjoyable and hassle-free!
Adding Images and Personal Avatar
We can even add a custom Avatar for your unique user name. Just reply to this post with a link to the photo you would like to use. You can also post pictures on https://postimages.org/ and then copy the direct link that ends in .jpg or .png (it's the 2nd box down after you add your image.)
When replying or adding a new post, click the Insert a picture button above and paste your image link from postimages.org between the img tags.

If you have any other questions about using the forums, please feel free to reply here in this thread. We'll also continue updating this forum guide with more useful user tips. If you have other exciting topics in mind, we can even create a dedicated subforum just for you to moderate. We're here to make your experience enjoyable and smooth, so don't hesitate to reach out!
We really hope you enjoy chitchat and look forward to hearing from you in the forums. 😊
